School Hols

Its back to school!! Can't believe that 6 weeks can just fly by like that. So fast! Well anyway, we didn't go anywhere far during this school break because I wanted to just relax and chill. Didn't want any traveling as I had such a busy quarter. So, Audrene and Maira had their school hols activities within our house viccinity and there were so many interesting activities that they could do.

Summarizing what they did..

Audrene enrolled in Marche's baking class. She made buns, gingerbread cookies, cupcakes and pizza.

Maira enrolled in musis class which she loves so much!

Ermmmm Maira also drove us to PD one day ;)

We spent 2 nights at Avillion and the girls announced that Avillion is the best hotel in the world :D

Maira danced to Nobody But You at Avillion. Dia mmg dah lama teringin nak perform btw ;)

Love this place...

Audrene's last class at Marche. She made pizza...

....but it was Maira who enjoyed the food!

So that was their school break.. Looking forward to the CNY break now.

And yay.. Thank God it's Fri tomorrow!!!

Kalkitos

I was at a nearby mall recently and my eyes popped out when I saw these in a shop! I was so excited!! I used to play with them when I was small!! So I said to Audrene and Maira that I just have to buy them some. But.... I got a shock when I saw the price.. RM23.50!!!! Omg!!! I know back when I was small it was way way WAY cheaper! Mahalnya now!!

So I asked the uncle who works at the shop... Back then it was not this expensive right?? He replied.. Well, many many years ago a bowl of asam laksa cost RM1.50 -__-

Audrene has never seen it before and I had a hard time explaining to her how Kalkitos works so I asked uncle.. Do u have a sample? He replied .. Well many many years ago when u were small they didn't have samples too right?? Ok, the uncle has an attitude... Grrrr!

Since I've promised Audrene and Maira, I had to buy 2 packets and they loved it!! But because of the price, sorry la nak beli lagi :p

The Kalkitos kept them quiet while mummy had coffee :)

And I just have to share these pics of my darling Maira cos she looks sooo kissable in them ;)

Happy 7th Birthday my darling, my sweetie pie Audrene :) :) love u so much but darling sometimes u make me wanna pull my hair out... All i want you to do is just spend 1 hour a day during these hols reading yr story book... Tu je...Can ye.. Tomorrow tak nak gaduh2 lagi ok!

Here are some pics of her and friends during her art & craft bday do.

Oooh we also had a cake done for Maira as she didn't get a party for her most recent birthday as it fell during fasting month. Both cakes were super yummy - Audrene's was vanilla and Maira's was red velvet.. Tak puas makan! The food for the kids were simple - Pizza!

The kids could choose to buat and paint either a top hat, fish or robot. The hat was the favourite! Here they are... Busy crafting their masterpieces :)

My lil sweet Maira.. Comfie at her spot. We had their bday do at their artclass. The teachers were amazing with 21 excited, happy, jumping kids!

It was indeed a FUN and EXCITING party for .... ME! hehehe! The kids were such a joyful group and i enjoyed entertaining them tho mmg patah pinggang. Audrene was ecstatic of course - first time hung out with school friends without teachers' supervision... Apa lagi.. Memang havoc!! But party kan, lagi havoc lagi fun :) :)

Audrene was in her school's Thumbelina Musical Play last week. She danced the Chicken & Duck dance with her Std 1 friends and they were so cute!

I was impressed with the production. Very nicely done! And the kids were talented. Memang terrerlah :)

Too bad we couldn't take photos of the show so we only had pics of Audrene after the show.

BUSY!!!!

I have been SUPER BUSY these past few weeks OMG! Busy with work and busy with the girls. Audrene will be done with her finals on Thursday (Hurrah!!!!) but until then it's the usual exams-is-near 45-minute revision-2 hours break-45 min revision-2hours break weekend timetable. Thursday, come fast PLEASE!!!! Teacher Mummy needs a BREAK!

Ooooh Maira has finally agreed to join Audrene in her art class.. Yippee!!!!! So now, once a week I will get 1.5 hours all for myself. What I like is that there are a few mani-pedi shops and massage centre near the artclass and 1.5 hours is just nice for these. Owh I am soo happy :)

Ok, short update. Got some office work to complete.

Movies Galore

We had a grand time catching the latest movies during these couple of months. All of the movies that we have been waiting for finally came and it was worth the wait, especially Transformers 3. Harry Potter was great too but I wished it was longer. I thought it was too abrupt, tak puaslah. If it were 3 hours pun ok, I would have enjoyed every single minute of it. I couldn't believe HP is finally over. Sob! I keep saying that I want to read the 7th book again, but until now I couldn't find the time :(

Transformers was amazing, don't you think? When we went to the cinema, Maira thought that we were going to watch 'Train Thomas'. I kept telling her Transformers la, not Train Thomas. But she insisted it was Train Thomas until the movie started and she got a shock! This is NOT Train Thomas! Terus takut and tertidur!

Pirates and Green Lantern were ok too. Funny la at least. We also took Maira to watch Thomas the Movie. But errrr not only that I thought it was yawnsome...Maira thought it was boring too! Tengok dekat ipad ok la, but on the big screen.. Terseksa Mummy!

We also watched Arthur, Paul and Just Go With It on DVD. Arthur (Russel Brand - is that his name? Katie Perry's hubby) was CRAZY FUNNY! Paul, the movie about an alien, was also hilarious. I laughed and laughed through out the movie. I suddely have this huge liking towards these British actors. Lawak sangat! Paul however was full of bad words, not good for kids. But my darling Audrene watched it though and I kept telling her this is a BAD BAD word, NEVER EVER use it!

Just Go With It is now one of my favourite romcoms. I finally saw what others could see in Adam Sandler hehe..To those who have not watched it, go get the DVD. Sweet and funny! Another romcom that I watched recently, Love and Other Drugs, was also ok buttttttt errrr a bit xx la. I was surprised that Anne Hathaway and Jakey showed a lot of flesh. Lucky The 2 little girls were busy watching their cartoon movie on tv.

Oh no, now I could't wait for weekend to arrive. Nak tengok more movies!

Ok, all. Have a good night. Past my bed time already. Audrene is fast asleep but Maira is still watching Mickey. Yawn!

With A Champ

There was a squash tournament at The Curve last weekend and Audrene got to meet Nicol David!

I told her that Nicol is the best squash player in the world and she was impressed. It's not everyday that you get to meet a real champion!

And here's my little champ in her own little tournament :)

That's Audrene in the pool! She finished 2nd in her group. I thought it was great but she was a little bummed because only the top swimmers with the best time received medals. Owh it's ok honey, there's always next year :)

Turning 3

My Baby Maira has grown so fast... She's turning 3 next month!! She talks a lot now. Though a bit pelat but she loves to tell what she did in school and she loves to sing. Current favourite song is Barney's theme song and current favourite cartoon is ofcourse Barney!

Here she is.. with her baby.. We call her baby 'creepy baby'... Hehe..She adores this baby to bits and she wants to bring it everywhere!

Simply Delishh!!

We went back to Kuantan over the weekend and yipppeeee because I got to enjoy my favourite dish ikan patin gulai tempoyak!!! Yeah I am soo kampung when it comes to food preference :)

Our favourite ikan patin spot is in Temerloh, the first gerai opposite the river. The place is usually packed and full during lunchtime and sometimes we had to wait for them to cook the fish. 30-45 minutes wait in the stuffy, hot stall but it was worth the wait!

We usually have one fish head each.. No sharing!! Mmmmmm nyummmmms.. I love the lemak and all!

And in Kuantan itself, we would always have our favourite cendol at a little stall in front of this popular huge shop which sells ikan masin. This shop is usually packed with tourist buses and tourists from China who will buy HUGE bags full of white coffee and ikan masin. Hurrah for Malaysian tourism!

Haha..Here's everyone buying cendol while mummy secures 4 stools ;)

For RM1.50, this cendol is to die for especially in the hot Kuantan weather. Simple cendol, just to my liking!

Ok no more food talk!! I am about to drool already. Goodnight everyone!!!

In Loving Memory

Our 12-year-old cat Skip died last night, and since then, I have been crying on and off. When I got the news at about midnight last night, I cried until 3am, fell asleep, woke up, got ready for work and I continued crying while I was driving. Even in the office, when no one was around, I could feel my tears flowing.. I never knew that losing a pet could be this hard. I keep telling myself, she's just a cat, just a cat... but no! She's not :( She was family. She has been with us since 1999 and has been a source of joy and happiness for me and my family, especially my girls, for more than a decade and with that I will miss my darling Skip terribly.

I always thought that Skip was not a normal cat. She was very intelligent and thoughful. I remember when once my sister was sad and she locked herself in her room, Skip sat patiently outside the room looking as if she wanted to make sure that my sister was okay.

And I will always remember Skip's reaction when we first brought back Audrene. She was so excited and curious! She ran around and when Audrene was in the cot, she would peak and take a look at Audrene. She even kissed Audrene when she thought that none of us were looking. She was such a sweetheart. And when Audrene cried, she would rush to us as if to tell that the baby's crying and would only go when we have attended to the baby. Oh Skip, we love you dearie :'(

Oh Skip also brought me a 'present' once... a mice!! Hehe! I remembered screaming and jumping around when I saw her with the dead mice and I locked myself inside the room but she just waited outside the door with the mice. I guess she thought I loved the mice because I screamed so much and she wanted to play.. Yes, that's one funny memory.

There are just so many memories with Skip and for now I couldn't bear remembering it because it will bring tears to my eyes. I just can't wait to go back home so I could have a quiet moment and digest all the emotions and memories. It is just too overwhelming right now.

Here's a photo of my darling Skip... May you rest in peace. You will be missed dearly :(

What Else To Watch?

Sigh! What else to watch now that Idol has ended? I will miss this show so much! Now I will be bored every Thursday and Friday, and I don't have anything to look forward to to make my week faster :(

So what do you think of the winner? I love Scotty, I think he's a cutie pie and a real sweetie. However I do think that the finale between him and Lauren last night was the boringest finale ever. I nearly dozed off really! I think that it would be way better if it were Scotty vs James or James vs Casey or even James vs Paul!

Oooh it's Teacher's Day celebration at Audrene's school tomorrow and the excited girl has a performance for the teachers! Too bad parents couldn't attend to watch the mini concert. I would have loved to watch what she has been practicing in her speech class.

Here are the gifts that she'll be bringing tomorrow. Pink little bags for her teachers. She even wrote 'I love u' on each bag :)

I think I have been watching too much tv series lately. Honestly that's all I wanna do. I no longer want to walk around the malls during weekends because I would rather curl in front of my tv watching Criminal Minds, Fairly Legal, Hellcats, Gossip Girl, etc etc. There are just too many series that I follow right now. And then there's American Idol. If I were in the States I would be crazy voting for Scotty and James. They are just so good! So I am sooooo bummed that James is out! How can that be???

My lil girl finished her exams yesterday. She said Eng and Agama were tough. Yeah I was worried about her English as she didn't understand some grammar stuff and as for Agama, she didn't open up her Agama book to revise at all. It's ok. We will try better during the finals. For this midterm exams, I will just cross my fingers and see what happens -__-

So what has she learnt after being in school for 5 months? Hmmmm she knows that tudung saji is made of daun and timun and tomatoes are fruits which are in the vege category (confusing!). She now knows how to float in the water, develop the interest for tennis and has made some good friends. There are one or two who are sometimes not that kind to her but oh well that's life. But definitely mummy will monitor this ok. Nobody's gonna make my darling sweetheart upset!

My darling baby Maira is not a baby anymore. She doesn't even like it that much when we call her adik. She wants to be called her name. Very good, very opinionated and very clear in giving instructions hehe. She is so into Barney now. She carries her Barney toys everywhere and watches the show all the time. She'll sing and dance along too and when she does that she will say.. Eii jgn tengok ya!! Hhehehe love you darling!

China!!!

Hello!! How is everybody doing in the middle of the week? Me - I am a little bit stressed because my darling daughter is having her exams now. Her first exam ever!! She's alright, not at all stressed but mummy on the other hand has knots in her tummy :p

So... to destress myself, I went through the pics taken during our recent China trip. We went there last month and during the 4D/3N trip, we went to a few beautiful places - Macau, Zhuhai, Panyu, Guangzhou. The trip was packed but we, esp the girls, enjoyed it very much. Shopping was not that great, but we loved the safari, circus and the sunflower garden. I loved Macau, too! The girls were super happy because they got to ride on the plane, bus, tram, cableway and boat - all during the 4 days!

The weather was also lovely. We thought it would be cold so we brought a number of longsleeved blouses, but nope, it was sunny but a lil windy. Just nice :)

Some photos from the trip.

Here's the fishery lady statue which takes care of the city Zhuhai. It is located along the Lovers' Road, the main street in the city. The history is this lady was so kind that she left her husband to hold the pearl as this would keep Zhuhai safe and prosperous. Our guide said that Zhuhai is always safe from natural disasters.

This is the statue of the husband of the fishery lady. It is located on a hill and we had to take the cableway to get to the top. Only Audrene and Daddy went up the hill cos the cableway was a bit too scary.

Here are photos of us at the safari. The place was awesome! We took the tram to go around the safari. Cars were also allowed.

Whoooops! We also caught a couple of zebras on action.. hehe

Audrene with sunflower seeds at the Sunflower Garden in Panyu. This was the first time we saw such huge sunflowers which were as big as Audrene's head.

Sea of flowers... Breathtaking!!! Little Maira slept while we strolled around admiring the flowers.

At the Guangzhou monument. Our guide said we had to go up and take photos here. So up the stairs we went to reach the popular goat statue. Audrene and Maira in matching blouses. This is history as Audrene usually refuse to be in the same attire as her sister :)

Girls' Day Out

Wow I have had a busy day today! And it was so much fun and entertaining because I was at the Disney show with TWO Snow White!! TWO! :D

I brought Audrene and her friend Qistina to the show today. I think both of them had lotsa fun there. Look at their faces in the car. Audrene had been waiting for this day for weeks. Not just bec of the show but bec she wanted to hangout with her friend from her kindy. Finally the day arrived :)

Today's show featured 4 cartoons - Cars, Mermaid, Lion King and Tinkerbell. I didnt snap that many pics bec it was dark and I only had my phone. Plus, I was busy singing to the tunes too.

Couch Potato

NCIS LA - NCIS - Criminal Minds - Castle - CSI - I can sit on my couch and watch these series all day all night.

And then there's American Idol.. I can watch the episodes over and over again. I just love most of the contestants this year. They are sooo good, don't you think?

I have also been watching the movies.. Rango - loved it! Black Swan - dark and disturbing. 127 Hours - tested my patience but liked the movie. Eat Pray Loved - also tested my patience but didn't like it that much.

And what am I doing now? Watching repeat of NCIS while waiting for the new episode and waiting for my shrimp burger.

Yup, I just love weekends...

Kakak had her sports day yesterday and it was fun tho the weather was really hot. She took part in sukaneka and won #2!!

Hellooooo!!! Happy CNY everyone!

We went to Bali on Saturday and oh my my this time around I would say that we should have stayed LONGER!!!! We went for two amazing outdoor trips to Turtle Island and Sanur for dolphins. We LOVED both adventures!!!! Audrene had a great time touching, cuddling and playing with the animals that are usually in the wild or close to extinction.

On our 2nd day, we went to Turtle Island and had a grand time with the turtles, snakes (Audrene suka!!), eagles, hornbills, bats. Will post pics on this trip soon. On our 3rd day, we went for our much-awaited dolphin trip. The area was somewhere near Sanur. There were a few groups of tourists and we were all gathered for a short briefing by the guide. After the briefing, life jackets were distributed and we were ready to go! The boat trip to the deep sea where the dolphins were was a short one. Not even 5 minutes, which was good because all of us were so excited to meet the dolphins.

Here are some photos from our hour-long session with the dolphins. We were happy cos we got to play with 2 dolphins - Veda and Jasmin!

This is Jasmin. She's 12 and she weights 110kg. Heavy ok!!! She eats 8kg of fish everyday. 2kg/meal. WOW!

I seriously have a problem getting Audrene to school on time. I cant remember the reason for Monday but on Tuesday instead of heading to Sg Buloh toll, I went straight to KL on NKVE! So had to make a turn and Audrene arrived late. And today, lambat lg and there was school assembly. Terpaksa dia nyanyi Negaraku at the back of the line!! Grrrr!!! It was totally my fault and I feel so so SO BAD!!!

I have made a promise to wake up 15 minutes earlier next week so Audrene wont be late again. Mummy promise ok!!!

Waterpark during Weekend

We went to BGambang waterpark over the weekend. The place was not bad at all. The waterpark was new so the washrooms were still in good condition and they had cabbanas for rent at the waterpark that made it very comfortable for us to rest and eat there.

There were also lotsa fun rides the residential area, and at night it was all lighted up and made the area filled with so much excitement.

Here are the girls in one of the rides. They were in costumes cos we attended a themed dinner. As the theme was movies and cartoons, Audrene wore Belle's dress and won best dressed!! Yippee! Maira went Shanghai Noon and wore a cheongsam... Mummy went boring and wore a smurf tshirt hehe!

One Week of Std 1... Over!

My sweetheart completed 4 days of school but today mummy got a call from the office cos my sweetheart had tummy ache... So off daddy went to pick our sweetheart up :(

She was a lil feverish in the morning. Kesian dia. A lot of adapting to do. She must be really tired. Hopefully after 2-3 weeks she'll be ok.

We hv been busy cos Audrene started Std 1 on Monday. 3 days hv passed and she's doing great, thank god :) So right now we are all adapting to our new daily schedule, and me, to my new eyesight... Little Graduate

My little princess is a little graduate!

Audrene's kindy had their annual concert and graduation 2 weeks ago, a day after her spa party. When I first saw the programme, I was alarmed - 17 performances by 6 schools.. OMG! How am I going to last until the end of the concert? But guess what, I actually enjoyed it. It was fun watching cute little kids dancing and jumping on stage. They were so so so cute!

Audrene's class performed a native dance. They practiced for more than 4 months and I just love their costumes. The teachers definitely put in a lot of effort and I appreciate it very much. Audrene spent 2 years at the kindy and she learnt so much and had a great time there. The teachers were the best!

Audrene's Birthday Spa

Audrene's birthday is getting very very near. She's turning 6 on 1st December!!!! My lil baby is a big girl now, she's starting Std 1 next year!! How time flies!!!

A couple of weeks back, when I was browsing for some birthday ideas for Audrene, I found a kids spa and it was located at Mont Kiara. That's not far so I made some calls to ask about the packages and I loved what I heard! And when I spilled the idea to Audrene she loved it too. So I told her to list 5 of her most favourite friends and we'll invite them to the spa.

We decided to have the party earlier cos.... we couldnt wait!! Hehe! So that's why we had it this morning ;)

Activities for the day were pedicure, hairdo and facepainting. Here are some pics from this morning.

Audrene chose to enhance her mermaid costume by painting her face mermaid-like :) The artist googled for the sample and found it on youtube. Innovative!

Cake time. The cake was from a small bakery at our house.. It was yummy and it was only RM28! Everyone loved it! And ofcos lil Maira was there too. She was sooo happy running around and playing by herself.

The party ended at 215pm, just enough time for the staff to clean up for another party at 230. Busy lil spa!! And a very busy weekend for us too bec we have a concert to attend tomorrow. 17 performances from 5 or 6 Smart Readers :O and Audrene's graduation! Yayyyy!!!!!

Tok's Birthday

The girls' Tok celebrated his 64th birthday on Deepavali so I organised a small birthday dinner for Tok and family. Usually when I have my family over for dinner, I'll prepare really simple dishes like grilled salmon or bbq food and salad, and I'll run to the nearby cafe and buy fried rice hehe.

For the 1st time we celebrated Halloween and from the pictures, you can see that Audrene had the most fun :p

Audrene bought a witch costume a couple of weeks back so mummy and daddy had to find the right place for her to go showcase herself hehe..and hooray cos TGIF was organising a Halloween-do last night. We had dinner there and at the same time had so much fun checking out other people's costumes. Some were indeed scary :o

Maira was scared so she sat quietly at her corner but all the skeletons, undertakers and draculas didnt stop her from enjoying a good meal. That's my Maira ;)

Yeah I am currently down with dengue fever! Terrible!!!!

But good news is, I am recovering. I don't even need to be admitted because it is not that bad, but yeah, it is still dengue.

I must have gotten it at home because I got it on Sunday so I have already called up MBPJ and requested them to send a team to fog the area asap. There are just too many mosquitos lately. Even with all the antimos, ridsect etc, I could still be bitten by them. Annoying!

My brother was also down with dengue last week. He got it in Shah Alam and my sister was also suspected with dengue. So all of us went through a series of needle-poking and it was NOT fun. I am amazed with Audrene for being able to smile when she did her dengue test last week. She was cleared from it, btw, thank God.

That's all for now. Please keep your home safe from dengue cos it's really painful. Bodyache, fever, headache, alarming red spots all over your body and ofcos the trips to the hospital to check your blood count. Ouchhh!!! But I am thankful that I am ok. Take care.

It was my little Maira's 2nd birthday last Friday. She's 2!!

We had a small family dinner to celebrate her birhday the weekend before. And on the birthday itself, we had a party at the daycare. But ermm.. Maira didnt really enjoy the attention she got. Towards the end of the party she cried! During the dinner at home, she was really shy when we sang to her. She kept saying it was Kakak's birthday.. Kakak ofcourse enjoyed both parties.. Macam birthday dia pulak :)

Wahhh it has been a while since I last updated!! I have gotten the habit of sleeping early. 10pm and I'll be dreaming already. And then there was the World Cup. So for the last month, I was on and off trying to sleep early so I could wake up at 2am. Not that I was a huge fan of the game, neither was I a supporter of any team. I didnt even know what 'off side' was until a couple of weeks back when my colleagues 'patiently' demonstrated to me. Truth is I merely wanted to find out what Christiano Ronaldo was all about. And now I know.. hehehe.

And oh the Cullen fever is back and yeah I too drooled over him for a few days after I watched Eclipse which I found to be really euwww but highly entertaining (?!).

Maira is turning 2 next month!! Yeay my darling baby is growing fast. She cant speak that much yet but she can say important words like mummy, daddy, kakak, mak, tok, cho (cu), nenen (ofcos), nak, NO! (favourite word so far), ket (sakit) and ... ermmmm... bodddohhhhh! Haiyoo!!!!

Ok... have to go... Maira is wrestling the laptop from me while crying nak! nak! nak!

Audrene's sports day was this morning. Sangat2 seronok esp because her cheerleading team was THE BEST among the rest of the centres.. At least that's what me and the teacher thought.. hehe :p Hey, she practiced her routine and her cheer for weeks and I had to practice with her too. It was so much fun. The kids were so cute. I like it that the sports day was simple and fun and it finished off right on the dot as scheduled before it started getting so hot. Nicely organised lah!

After sports day, we hung out at the curve and had early lunch there. Then went back home to make sure the girls had a good sleep because we were going to watch Toy Story in the evening. And, sob, I cried while watching the movie. The end of the movie was so sad :( But I still love the movie of cos, plus it was 3D.

Ok, folks, goodnite. Wanna check on Audrene. She has overworked herself today and is not feeling very well. She doesnt eat enough and lives on milk. I am worried and running out of ideas on how to entice her to eat... sigh.. Right now she's addicted to burger king's spicy drummets and she has them every weekday for dinner. But that's it. She wont take any carbs with them and she'll have milk instead. Probably I shld show her pics of African children. Mebbe that would make her eat.

Princess Dresses

Attention all mommies with lil princesses!

Mothercare has really pretty princess costumes and they are all on 20% discount now. Went to the curve with Audrene today with the intention to get her new trainers for her sports day tomorrow but instead we came back with Snow White/Cinderella costume (it's reversible! 2-in-1) and a fairy skirt! And they are so cute...simply irresistible!

All of the little girls at the store were pestering their mommies.. ada yang kata nak pakai baju Snow White for Raya... hehe...cute!! Well.. siapa tak nak jadi princess kan? :)

Here's Audrene in her new dress. Maira's sleeping so she hasn't seen the dress yet. Last month Audrene bought her Ariel costume and Maira was so upset cos she didnt get one. Tak ada size! But today, I bought her 2 cute lil skirts so I hope she'll be happy too.

So go NOW mommies... Not many are left. There're also Tinkerbell, little hornet, fairy, Ariel costumes. For lil boys, there are Ben 10, Woody (Toy Story)... mmmm ada lagi but tak ingat. Go go go and we can all throw a costume party!

Audrene has been pestering me for these lil rodents for WEEKS and I finally caved in. But I had a looong chat with her about the many responsibilities before I finally took her to the pet store. Told her she's the mummy to the hamsters so she will have to take care of them. I am curious to see how these lil cuties will change my lil darlings. Should be good to them so hopefully the hamsters will last long.. hehe

Btw, are any of you Red's listeners? If you are and you happen to be driving to work at abt 820 every day, you may be familiar with the RM1k minute quiz. Aaaaargghhhh... geram!!!! How come so far none of the quiz contestants can finish this line... Rock a bye baby ... ON THE TREE TOP?!! Gerammm!!! So easy!! Easy peasy!! And a couple of week's back it was HUMPTY DUMPTY who went up the hill to fetch a pail of water... OMG!!! Cant stand!!! If you havent heard abt this quiz, do tune on to the station at 810 cos the quiz is usually at abt 820 and then you'll understand my agony every morning. Its 104.9.

Univ Studios Singapore Rocks!!!!

Oh yes it rocks and I wish I am still there!!!!

I had so much fun these past few days but it's still great to be back home. Penat ok jalan with a toddler in tow but without the lil munchkin it won't be as much fun :)

School holiday started yesterday but we decided to go off early so on Thursday we packed our bags and flew to Singapore with 3 locations as our main target - Universal Studios, Night Safari and Arab St for beryani and murtabak. And ooooh to add to the kids' joy, the grannies and aunty followed too!

We spent the first day at the Night Safari. We went there last year and were still impressed with the place. I love it there because it is full of life. And of course, tak panas ;) This time around, we got there early, at abt 6.45pm (the safari opens at 7pm). Had dinner (their lamb burger is the best!) and watched the fire show. Memang grand! After the show, we watched the creatures of the night show and then we hopped on the tram and went for the safari tour. I really like the safari. I dont mind going there again and again. Audrene and Maira enjoyed the place too. Maira was already sleepy during the tour but she still waved at the animals happily.

On the second day, we went to Universal Studios!!! We love loved LOVED the place. We were so lucky it didnt rain and the weather was extremely sunny. The crowd was huge. In fact, the tickets were sold out on that day and it was not even the weekend and Singapore hasnt even started their school hols. For popular rides like Jurassic Park's water rapid, we had to que up for 45 minutes. And it took us more than 30 minutes to buy food. But nevertheless, it was worth the que. The rides were fantastic. We managed to ride on almost all rides. Ermmmm I didnt ride on the scary rides of course but my sister and hubby did go on the Mummy roller coaster and Audrene was also brave enough to go on the Dragon ride at Far Far Away - twice!

Some tips in case you are planning to go there during this scool hols..

1. Buy your tickets earlier at the travel agents in Spore cos the tickets may be sold out at the entrance. You may even get it cheaper at the agency. We bought ours for $62 each instead of $66 (weekday rate. Weekend pass is $72). Cheaper rates for kids between 4-12 and free for 3 and below.

2. Wear your sunscreen cos it can be very hot and sunny there.

3. Wear very comfortable clothes and shoes esp those which can dry fast cos you may get drenched during the water rapid ride at Jurassic Park and while watching the Water Wold show.

4. Be there early so you can enter sharp at 10am cos with the long que, you may need to rush to cover all rides. The park closes at 7pm, takut tak sempat!

5. Prices for food and merchandise are reasonable. Chicken rice is S8, a bottle of snapple is $3.50, tshirts are $20-30, mugs are about $12 - 15, depends on the design. Lotsa a nice cafes but too little time to enjoy food cos need to rush to catch the rides and shows.

6. Rides with long ques are all the 3 rides in Jurassic Park (45 minutes que per ride) and the jeep ride at The Mummy. You may want to rush to these rides the first thing in the morning to avoid the long que later.

7. Washrooms are squeaky clean with areas for diaper change.

My fav ride is the studio tour by Spielberg. Fantastic! And altho I was terrified, I loved the river rapid ride. Huaaaaaa I wish I am still there! Mebbe next year when Maira's bigger and Audrene's taller? :p

There is never a dull moment with my little bunnies. There will always be activities that will either make me jump for joy or cry for help. And tonite, unfortunately it's the latter *grump*

Audrene got a new Ariel costume today and Adik was really, really upset. We we couldn't find a size for her. And when Audrene showed her the Ariel costume, Adik kept saying cantik! nak! cantik! nak!! When she knew she wouldn't get one, to protest, she took off her pants and diapers AND shishi-ed on my bed. Yup, you read right. My little angel peed on my bed. Stress ok!!!!

Here are both girls. To pujuk Adik, the best I could do was to put on her swimsuit. Check out her crumpled face as I was taking Audrene's pix. Still pissed off over the costume!

Camel Ride & More!

What a busy weekend we had!! And I am now 2 tones darker... huaaa!!!!

So where did we go to? Melaka! We drove down to Melaka and stayed at AFmosa for one night. I haven't been there for years and I am happy to say that the place rocks! We went to the waterpark and cow.boy town. The waterpark was not that full yesterday, probably because it rained most of the day. We however got lucky because when we reached the park, it stopped raining. We had lunch, played for 2 hours and then it started raining again. That was when we said to the girls... cukup cukup!

In the evening, we went to the cow.boy town. We reached there just in time for the show which was not bad at all. I was impressed with the Msian red indians (hehe) and their fire show. Entertaining you.. Haha!

Today, before driving back home, we stopped by at the park again because Audrene wanted to ride on the elephant, pony and camel. Audrene memang will not want to miss any rides so we had to bring her there or else... hehe. We reached there a bit early as the rides started at 11am. So kita pun tunggulah dalam kepanasan :p Thought of going for reflexology while waiting, but itu pun was closed and only opened at 12. Audrene of cos had fun while waiting, and even made a new friend much to Maira's irritation because Maira was sooooo afraid of her kakak's new 'friend'!

Will This Ever Stop?

Did you read the paper today? This really breaks my heart. When will this stop? It's just too often nowadays that little kids are abused. Why??? If you don't like kids, why do you take care of them for a living? Please don't do this. Please don't harm them. They don't know anything. And imagine the family of the abused victims. Imagine what they have to go through.

A few weeks back, I was walking around KL Sentral and I saw a little kid about Maira's age happily running around. The little girl was smiling broadly until her mommy who was on the phone caught her and slapped her at least THREE TIMES. How could she?? She was running at an empty area so it was safe. When she was hit, the girl looked so shocked and then she cried and cried. I was so shocked myself. If they were closer, I would have yelled at the mom. That's abuse, don't you know that??

Gosh... I can get really emotional about this matter. Who wouldn't right?

Anyway, on a happier note. How was your weekend? Mine was alright. The two highlights were a birthday party at Jungle Gym and a mummy-daughter movie session with Audrene (while Maira napped..hehe). What movie did we watch? You could never have guessed... it was PS I Love You! Haha!

In the middle of the movie, Audrene turned to me and asked... Mummy, ada tak mummy rasa nak nangis? I answered yes... Then she said saya pun... saya rasa airmata nak keluar Ayo... ada perasaan rupanya my little princess! We watched the movie till the end and she loved it. But she did say that it was a bit too sad for her. Later in the evening, she watched New Moon and shyly whispered to me saya suka Jacob. Ayoyo....

Is she growing up too fast? Hmmm, I dont know. But I could see that she has developed more emotion and has become more and more sensitive towards the surroundings. And of course, she is more protective than ever of her little sister whom she loves and adores to bits. I caught her patting and kissing the sleeping Maira's cheek just now and I thought that was sweet :)

Sob sob my brother and his family moves to Ipoh today and he brought with him my lil nephew :(

Yesterday while my brother was packing, my SIL and Baby hung out at my place. He just turned 2 months but he's like a big boy already *hugs*

Audrene saw her first death a few days ago when my parents' neighbours' dogs died and she is still saddened by it.

On the way home from my parents' after knowing that the dogs had died, she kept saying saya sedih lah mummy, saya sedih. Saya kenal dogs tu.. Dogs tu kenal saya. The dogs would usually greet her whenever she arrived at my parents'. Now, no more doggies to wag their tails at Audrene :(

2 days ago on her way to school, Audrene was quiet. I thought she was thinking about her old friends whom she misses very much too. When I asked she said she was thinking about the dogs and she was sad... oh dear...it's ok kakak, give it some time and you'll feel ok.

It's not good seeing your kids sad isn't it?

I am burnt! We went back to Kuantan over the weekend and it was soooo hot there. We went to the beach when the sun was right on top of our heads but of cos the girls didnt mind. They were both burnt too. They havent fully recovered from being their PD tan and now they are wayyyy darker!

Maira's going to a new school tomorrow. I hope she will be ok there. The place looks good and I like the fact that it is not run and owned by one owner. It's a franchise and it looks structured. I am giving this place a try but will ofcourse do my own checking. After what happened at the old place, susah nak trust dah.

Audrene, on the other hand, will start her piano class at the same school which she goes to for her ballet. So senang, in one trip she can cover both piano and ballet :)

Ok everyone. I need to selongkar my room. I have misplaced my purse and have been looking high and low for it but tak jumpa. Actually I suspect Maira took it out from my handbag this morning but hmmmm mana agaknya???

Hmm hmm hmm... what have my kiddos been up to lately? Macam2!!!

- Audrene has been selected to represent her school for a spelling bee next month... weeheeeeheeee!!! The teacher gave me a set of words to study with her but so far we have only had ONE lesson. Mummy's baddd!!!!

- Maira can speak quite a number of words now. Her favourites are of course "noooooo" and "nenennnnn"!!!!!

- Audrene loves and adores the new baby in the family but Maira, tho she loves the baby, she made sure her grandma and me do not touch the lil one. No way she would share her grandma and mummy with anyone else :p

- Audrene has expanded her favourite song list to include Adam Lambert's Whadaya Want From Me.

- Audrene is still in love with Cedrick aka Edward Cullen. She first saw him in Harry Potter 4 and it was love at first sight.. Hehehe.. HP4 became her fav movie because as she said.. Cedrick handsomeee

- Maira is still being breastfed.. I wonder until when. I want to stop but I dont know how.. Suggestions anyone?

- Audrene has changed her ambition from wanting to become a princess to a doctor. Phew!!

- Maira is very garang. She's one of the kids who will pick up a fight with others at playgrounds :(

- Maira is an adrenaline junkie. She loves doing stunts like stand with her hands free on her rocking horse, climb the door grill and stand on her bike without holding on to the handle. Gosh, she might do well in a circus!

- Both girls LOVE make-up. Both will make a quick dash to my handbag when we are about to go out. They will look for my compact powder and lipstick.

- Girls being girls, both prefer dresses than pants or jeans. Audrene has for a long time been admiring my high heels but lately she has been even more persuasive in making me promise to buy her heels NOW.

- And owh, Maira loves books. Just like her kakak.

Sunny Saturday

Hello! How's your Saturday so far? Mine is the usual. Breakfast this morning was at Teh Tarik Place, then jalan2 a bit at Ikano, also renewed my roadtax there, then went back home and while Maira napped we managed to watch a movie - Up In The Air (good movie btw).

Later in the afternoon, took the girls to my uncle's place for some pool time, had tea there and now am relaxing for a while before we go out for dinner. Dinner will be at Hokkaido to celebrate Daddy's 36th birthday and for the first time we will bring Baby Arman...yay! Cant wait!

Owh, here are the girls a few minutes ago. Yup, that's their tent where they usually play together :)

Audrene is all settled at a new daycare centre now. So far so good. I could see a lot of difference between the new and previous daycare. Audrene got a lil sick last week and the teachers examined her well and even informed me immediately. Later in the evening I received a concerned sms from the owner who I later found out was in Australia. I am so far very pleased with the attention given by the teachers. They also made sure Audrene finishes off her homework in the afternoon so less stress for me :)

I havent been reading much lately but I hope to finish this book by this week. I have always been a fan of O'Flanagan so I am enjoying this read.

Horrible Nursery Experience

I've been sending my kids to the nursery since Audrene was about 8 months only to find out recently that:

1. Audrene didnt have enough to eat. I caught her eating coco crunch one day for dinner there because rice habis. Not enough. So my hungry daughter was only fed with cereals at 630pm for dinner. When I highlighted the matter, no apologies, none. The owner said at least we gave her cereals. And when I speak with other moms, yes, they said the nursery mmg have food issues.

2. Audrene told me when she was given rice, usually it will be in a small portion and she will still feel hungry. When she asked for more, the kakak will say NO. So my daughter was like Oliver Twist.

3. Maira was NOT given dinner at 6pm though the fee I paid should cover the meal. All these while I thought Maira kuat makan cos she'll wrestle food from me whenever I have my dinner. But no, rupanya dia kebulur cos nursery didnt feed her.

4. One day I picked up Maira at 2pm and she was not bathed. She was still in her sleepwear and diapers pun tak tukar. She smelled.

5. When the driver picked up Audrene from kindy, he would bring Audrene to the shop area and leave her alone in a running car while he dropped by at the store.

6. The lil kids are fed using ONE bowl and ONE spoon. They share food. That's why Maira and her friends are always sick.

And this is one thing that I frequently highlighted to the nursery owner but they didnt bother until I had to 'change the tone' of my voice:

1. They find it so difficult to lock the door and gate. The owner told me that the PARENTS are irresponsible for not locking up. Her staff couldnt cope with taking care of kids AND having to lock up. So parents fault ya?

Three incidents happened that need to be told:

1. One of the staff got caught khalwat and had to pay fine. She approached me THREE times for money in within a few months. When I informed the owner, she said "u nak bagi bagilah, up to u". Hmm.. that's it? I tak bagi of cos. When I got the last request, I had to sternly inform the owner that I am unhappy with this and she said "it's the PARENTS' fault for being too nice to the staff." Parents' fault for being too nice? Tak kan kita nak be unkind to the people who take care of our kids kan?

2. When the incident above happened, I highlighted to the owner that the girl is in financial trouble so she could do harm to the kids. What if she took one child? The owner GUARANTEED me nothing will happen to the kids. Then she said, if anything were to happen pun, IT'S OK cos the kids are all INSURED. Apa punya manusia ni kan?

3. This one incident is serious (well, all are but this is SGT scary). One of the lil kids terkena kettle panas because aparently they have always been boling water ON THE FLOOR in the room where there are kids. I need not say more. If you are a parent, I am sure you are speechless now. The owner's reaction? Owh, now we dont boil water on the floor any more. That's it. No remorse, none.
So what another mom and I did was, we called other moms for a parents' meeting. Unfortunately, one of the moms, for whatever reason, told the owner about it and the owner got really mad. She waited for me at the nursery and asked me in for a meeting. I was composed (of cos, anak kita pegi situkan) but she was mad as he**. Terketar2 dia. She ORDERED me to stop calling the parents. She forgot I was the customer and she was the service provider. She called me names and said I am "sick" for complaining. And, she told me to take out my kids. With pleasure, lady. No way, I'm sending my kids to a place run by heartless, horrible people.

Owh, she also mentioned that we pay 'little' and we expect 'International School Standard'. I am sure you will be surprised if I tell you how much the fee was. I told her we only expect 3 things - safety, kebersihan, kesihatan terjaga. Her staff are all form 5 leavers from kampung. International school std? Nahhh, kindy std pun tak lepas.

Actually I have planned to take my girls out since a few months back but Audrene loved her friends there. But, blessing in disguise, the lady called me "sick" hatefully IN FRONT of Audrene (imagine that. Bisnes jaga budak, tapi kata mengata DEPAN budak) so later while I was driving back Audrene said... Mummy, tak pe, Audrene boleh pegi daycare lain. Audrene pun selalu lapar kat situ. My heart broke.

I feel sad, guilty and angry. I have exposed my kids to so many dangers and if anything were to happen to them, I'd rather die. As for the meeting with the parents, it will still go on (sorry ya, lady owner). Even tho my kids are out from there, I will still support other parents. The owners are bullies. They know the parents need their service so they bully them. I will do my best to help the rest and as for the owners, never ever will I forgive you. For the puluh2 ribu I've paid you throughout all these years, if you bagi anything kurang, sorry, I tak halalkan. I am usually forgiving, but these are my kids, so no way.

Ok, people, hope you have a nice weekend. As for me, not until I recover from this horrible experience, I dont think I can sleep well at night.

Dinner at Bkt Lanjan

We had dinner at this restaurant located at Bkt Lanjan during the weekend. The food was good, the ambiance was nice and the service was excellent. I had grilled lamb, my hubby had curry mee, my friends had soto, kuew teow, grilled chicken, etc and everyone said their order was yummy. The restaurant has a grand selection of food. Steak ada, fried rice ada, cod fish ada, and ooh they also have tapai pulut with ice cream which is my all-time favourite dessert. As for drinks, they have a wide range from teh tarik to latte to smoothies and barbican. I had a fun time going through the menu but at last I ordered grilled lamb, my fav :)

Baby Arman & Auntie

Helllooo!!! My nephew Arman is 1 month old now and he's getting chubbier and chubbier and chubbier :) He drinks a lot, A LOT I tell you. No wonder my friends with baby boys are bound to give up breastfeeding sooner than expected. Cant cope! But, so far my SIL is doing great. Here are some photos of me and d lil baby. Muahhhhh!!

Owh have you stopped by at the shoe fair in KL? We have! The plan was to take the commuter to the venue but biasa lah, commuter delayed. Grrrr!!! Audrene was so excited to take the train for the first time so of course she was disappointed. Tak pe lah, kakak, next time. We ended up driving to PWTC. The crowd was not that huge. The shoes collection weren't that great, but ok lah, acceptable. I got to see shoes with diamonds and pearls that cost hundreds of thousands ringgit. Audrene got to see how sandals are made at one of the booths and she also liked the small tunnel where the history of shoes were unfold. Though not all shoes of the different eras were there, some were represented with only photos, but ok lah, educational. We spent a couple of hours there but didnt go home with any pair. But I was happy because sempat go for a half-hour foot reflexology. That was good!

Alright, people. I've promised the girls 1 hour at Kidzsports Desa Parkcity today. Have a great Sunday all :)

Unlucky Week

Goshhhh so many things to talk about but always so little time to spend on the net. The girls are demanding so much attention lately, so I dont have the heart to spend too much time in front of the laptop. But now I am stealing some time while Audrene's singing on my bed (pretending to be in a concert) and Maira's playing with her blocks. I probably have 10minutes tops so quickly I type ya!!

Ok, what have I been up to lately? We went to PD for a short break during the school holiday. Didn't do anything there except lepak at the pool. We stayed at this quite newly refurbished hotel by the beach and urgh was I disappointed with it. That's why I didnt mention the name of the hotel cos I have tons of complaints. Grrrrr!

Firstly, when we reached there, it was about 5pm and our room was not ready tho check-in time was at 3. Then, while waiting for our room, Maira walked around the lobby and accidentally bumped her mouth onto the piano's stool and bled. She bled quite badly and stained her blouse but none of the staff bothered to help. We asked for some ice from one of the staff only to be asked to go to the nearest cafe. Tak de org pun at the lobby but the staff didnt offer any help to us. No concern even. The hotel staff didnt seem to know first aid and I bet they didnt even have a first aid kit. Both hubby and I panicked but luckily Maira was fine right after we got to our room. The cut wasnt that bad. The bleeding stopped and when we took out her swimming suit from the luggage, she was immediately in a chirpy mood. But still, the hotel need to train their staff better. Or at least remind them to have some compassion.

Then, another setback was that the kiddies' pool was sooooo cold! Seriously freezing!! I heard so many complaints from the parents. The kids, including Maira, was shivering. Weird cos the bigger pools were just nice. But unfortunately Audrene was too small for the bigger pools so we had to hang out at the kiddies' pool hence menggigil2!

Since the pool was so cold, I had to run off to the loo. And take a wild guess on the condition of the bathroom?? Geram ok!!! There were human feces in one of the cubicles!!! Imagine that!! You will never find that in US or London or Spore right?? I immediately looked around for a hotel staff and told him abt the bathroom's condition. I said please PLEASE do not take this lightly as there were tourists around. Malu! And did I mention that this is a 5-star hotel? 5-star ok, and not some dodgy chalets. Again, geram!!!

But since the girls enjoyed their stay there, tho menggigil and all, I enjoyed the short break because of the girls. The hotel however should really buck up. It's a 5-star hotel and it's not cheap but the condition really sucks. Not fair la kan? At least, take care of the cleanliness. No excuse at all for having really dirty washrooms. And their excuse for not having our room ready on time was there was only ONE housekeeping staff cleaning the rooms. Hai mana boleh macam ni kan?

Hokay, that was PD. A few days before PD, Audrene had an ill tummy so I took her to the clinic near home. While parking, I saw something that I thought was a little bit off and it took a few seconds for me to compute.. OMG!!! A totally 'clothless' guy!!!!! OMG!!!!! OMG OMG OMG!!! I immediately reversed by car and went straight to the police station which was about 200m away. The '100% clothless' guy must be mentally ill (kesian dia). He was washing himself in front of an empty shoplot. I told the policeman to check him out. Mana lah tahu, if he suddenly became harmful. It was at 10am and the area was already busy. Banyak kedai there, dangerous but I also wonder if other people saw him. Gosh, a number of people must have freaked out on that Sunday morning!

Petua Ulcer Mulut

I'd like to share this petua. If sakit mulut because of ulcers, makan jambu air. Kena2kan the juices to the ulcer, and within minutes you'll feel the pain subside. I have a couple of ulcers in my mouth so I've just had one whole water apple about 15 minutes ago and the pain in my mouth is now gone! Amazing!

At last, both girls are nicely tucked in bed. They are double active lately and tengah syok main with each other. I think I'll join them now since mulut dah tak sakit. Goodnite everyone. It's Friday tomorrow!!! Hurrayyyy!!!

I am never ever ever ever EVER going to wax my legs again!!!! Guess what happened to me when I switched the type of wax? Really horrible, disgusting allergic infection!!! They are not JUST rashes but spots with pus!!! Yikes!!!!! And my legs are both swollen, especially my left leg where even the ankle swells. So I am at home on medical leave today. Sakit sgt2 kaki, cant get into my shoes. And even by lying down the whole day doesnt help. Painful!!!!

Mmg I seriously ban myself from waxing ok. No more waxing!

Ayo... long weekend coming to an end!! Sobs!!! I hate Sundays! I dread Sundays!!! I will have to work for 2 whole weeks until my next leave which is during school break. Lamanya lagi!!!

Nonetheless, we had a fun-filled weekend. On Friday, we hung out at the Curve for lunch and later we took the girls to my uncle's place for swimming. Unfortunately it rained, so Audrene managed to play in the pool for a short while saja. But she still had a great time cos she got to play my lil cousin.

And today, we took the kids to Aquaria. It was fun for the kids, lari sana lompat sini. Maira esp like the tunnel. She went in it 3 kali and on the last trip, she refused to hold my hand. She was so amazed by the fishies, tortoise, eels, snakes she saw.

Maira's 1st Haircut

Hi! How are you all doing? Me, it's the usual. Work, kids, work, kids and during weekends, housework, kids, housework, kids. Quite taxinglah lately. Probably age is catching up. Aiyoh, if only lah I can find a good maid, kan best.

Anyway, am so glad it's a holiday today. My house is all clean because the cleaners dah dtg cuci pagi2 lagi tadi. Now, Audrene tengah siapkan homework and then only we can go out.

Last week, Maira got her first hair cut. She was not happy to let the hairdresser do her hair so Daddy had to hold her tight and the hairdresser only took 2 snips.

Snip snip! And here's Maira with her new fringe :)

As for Audrene, she has developed this interest in baking. So one fine weekend she baked a choc cake for us. Here's the proud lil baker. Sedap. The cake had little colourful stars.

Phew I am so beat up! This 3-day weekend breezes thru so fast, tak sempat nak catch my breath. But I am sooo happy because I dapat sneak out to the gym a few times yay!! Today, tho its a public holiday, was a full day as well. It started early with sending the Audrene to school and Miara to nursery. Then off I went to the gym, then pharmacy, then went to shape my eyebrow, then gi bank pulak etc etc. And since I'm on leave, I picked Audrene up from kindy. She was soooo happy to see me there :) Right after, I brought Audrene to her future school. Saw the officers there, registered and hurrah, secure dah seat Audrene there! After registration, took Audrene on a tour at the school. She loved it ofcos but she asked why were the kids staring at her. I said they must be excited to get a new friend :) After school registration, stopped by at McD because I was sooooo hungry. Nak pengsan rasa. I couldnt believe I forgot to have breakfast!

Now I am finally resting at home but my room is such a mess, huaaaa!!! When it's like this, I wish I had a maid. I wish I could get someone good whom I can trust. At least, when I am flat tired, there's someone to take care of the kids. Ni... adoiiii... mmg no chance la! And you have no idea how messy Miss Maira can be. She's princess messy (like mummy) hehehe ;p

Munchkins & Cupcakes

These were snapped during dinner at Ikano just now. It was just me and the girls. Look at how happy Maira was. She got 1 whole cupcake to herself!

I brought the girls to Ikano to get them a new pair of slippers each cos the ones they have are so dirty already eeeeks cannot bring myself to touch 'em! And of course, once we were there, it was difficult to drag them home. Even Maira started to protest when I said lets go back NOW.

Btw, it was my anniversary yesterday and I nearly missed it if not for the reminder on my hp. Can u believe it?! I did not forget that my anniversary was on the 24th but I didn't realise that it was the 24th yesterday. Ergh geramm! Lucky my hubby made plans so we parked the girls at my parents' and sneaked out to catch Sherlock Holmes. I like the movie tho Sherlock looked smelly most times hehe

Oh gosh its nearly 1130 already and the girls are still up!! Audrene is currently in a fowl mood because she couldn't finish her homework. Biarkan dia. Siapa suruh main all afternoon kan? But I'd better make sure to tell the kakak at the nursery to make her finish her homework there or else she'll be struggling to complete it at night. And as a result, dia marah both me and Maira :p

Weekend!!

Oh my my my I have been quite busy during these past 2 weeks. Audrene's in 'real' kindy now so we have to make sure she wakes up in time for school. Last year banyak main-main, dtg lambat and if she didn't feel like going, we didn't force her. But this year, kena serious sikit in preparing her for primary school next year. Especially in waking up early morning. Ayoyo... boleh ke?

I had quite a hectic schedule last week so when Friday came, I was relieved! And boy was I happy when I even had time to sneak into the gym for 30 minutes before picking up the girls from the nursery. I've moved office and its location enables me to drive back home in 30 minutes. Haha best kan? So now I get to ambik the girls when there's still daylight and can even jalan kaki pegi kedai with Audrene. She's very happy too!

We went to One U yesterday and had lunch at Sushi Zanmai. It was my first time there. Nyummm so yummy! No wonder the que is always, always long. It was worth the wait! Even Maira loved it and makan banyak :) Today, since Daddy is off golfing, I brought the kiddies to the Curve because Audrene wanted to go to MPH. We had lunch there and got to watch the lion dance. I teringat last year when I was working at HL, the CNY lion dance was a big event for the company. It was one event that everyone waited for. I remembered enjoying that day too. Oooh and that was a year ago!! Anyway, both girls loved the show tho Maira at times ada sikit takut. The girls were extra happy sbb dapat bawak balik 3 oranges which they ate in the car. Of cos, made lotsa mess for me to clean up :p

It's a double celebration for our family this year cos not only that we celebrated NY on 010110, we also celebrated my cousin who had his wedding reception today. And it was a triple celebration for my darling Audrene because she was the flower girl *HUGE grin*

Audrene LOVES playing dress up so being a flower girl was a real treat for her and she did very well too. Here are some photos from the wedding.

So that was how we spent our first day in 2010. It was a beautiful wedding by the pool and I had a great time meeting relatives. At this very moment Maira is asleep and Audrene is at my parents'. Last Few Days In 2009!

Ooooh ooooh ooooh I am dead tired so I did not go to the gym today. Didn't do anything in the morning except registered Audrene for another year at Smartreader. She's a big girl! Another year of kindy then off to primary school... Sob sob!!

My body aches and I don't feel like driving out, so I am waiting for food to be delivered to my doorsteps right now. Come on McD, u said it will take 25 minutes. It has been 27 minutes since I called. Dont disappoint me, I am sooooo hungry!

Later today I'll be hanging out at my uncle's place. Nak bawak Audrene and Maira pegi main kat pool. I am still tired but tak pe lah, last week of school holidays and last week of melepak for me too.

Aha.... McD has arrived. Jappp yaaa!!!

A few days ago my sister and I took Audrene to the movie. We watched Alvin & The Chipmunks (I am gobbling my McChicken while typing this. Kena makan cepat2 sbb have to pick up both girls at 230!) We loved the show. Though 1/3 of the time I was on the phone but the I enjoyed the movie, esp the songs. The chippetes were soooo comel. I felt like cuddling and kissing them. Furry, chubby and cute!

Ok, time's up. Back to mummy duty. Pack swimming stuff, pick the girls, buy some munchies, then we wait for my parents to come over and we'll go off together. Chao!

Gym Buddy

I thought I could accomplish a lot during my break unfortunately I haven't even accomplished half of the things that I had planned to do *sigh* I have only finished reading two books..TWO! And I haven't started working on my scrapbook. I haven't even gotten to selecting the photos..my my...So far, I've only gone to the gym as much as I could and that's it. Haven't been doing anything much but exercising and hanging out with the girls. I have a week left though. Let's see if I can cram some activities next week.

Owh yah, I've been watching A LOT of TV series so that explains why I haven't been doing anything else. I was glued to Brothers & Sisters and the latest season brings me lots and lots of tears. Audrene caught me weeping a few days ago and gave me a big hug. I've also been watching the latest Grey's Anatomy (sedih jugak) and today I've started watching Criminal Minds. This show is scary ok. It's soooo creepy and it scares the sh*t out of me and at times I wonder why I'm doing this to myself. But I like this show, I like it more than CSI. Sgt2 mendebarkan *gulp*

And oooh oooh oooh my sister has started joining me at the gym!! After all these while of being a member I had no idea I could bring a guest during weekends. Rugi rugi! So yesterday I dragged my sister and we stayed there for hours. Exercise exercise then minum2 then exercise (while borak2) and minum2 lagi. Got free fizzy drinks, coffee and tea, tu yang best tu! Both of us bukannya nak lose weight or aiming for a fab bod (eeeks... hehe) ke apa. Kita just need the endorphine rush to stay happy and calm haha! We will once again melepak at the gym tomorrow morning and ada pilates besok... Weee bestnya ada gang kat gym!!

It's Snowing!

Ho ho ho Merry Xmas! And what a great surprise, it was snowing at The Curve! Hehe! Some pics taken after the girls and I watched The Princess & The Frog last night. The movie, btw, was such a fun watch. Audrene and I enjoyed it very much. Audrene laughed and laughed throughout the show while Maira giggled, jumped up and down and scared the sh*t out of org kat kiri kanan depan belakang, danced, turun naik tangga and pooped, yeap pooped, in the cinema. I totally pity the 2 couples who sat beside us cos the smell was erghhhh *funky* :p

We had dinner at Tony Roma's. Hubby, my parents and sister joined us. Maira was soooo happy to have more company. She was smiling from ear to ear :D

Another pleasant surprise! They gave us some complimentary dessert and drinks. They must be in the mood for Xmas already :)

After what I had last night, I'll be spending the day at the gym again today. Got lotsa calories to burn. Chao!

ps I have watched up to Eps 12 (or 13, tak sure) of GGirl Season 3 and Serena is getting on my nerves. Simply irritating! She is not my fav character anymore. Now it's Mr Chuck Bass. After GGirl, I tuned on to Grey's Season 6. Wahhhh I missed a few eps of Season 5 and suddenly in Season 6 McDreamy and Meredith are married, Izzy and Karev are also married, Izzy has cancer and George is ......mmmmm.... am not telling! Haha! But what a drama!! Anyway, I LOVE the show. I think this new season is better that the previous season. Oh my fav character is..... ermmmm....McSteamy..hehehe!

D Girls' Pool Holiday In Penang

We went to Penang for 2 nights on Thursday cos the girls, esp Audrene (ok la, I sebenarnya, hehe), needed a holiday. To her holidaying means hanging out at the pool so we went to look for a place with a nice pool and kids' room just in case the weather's wet. As usual, kita plan lambat so most of the hotels at Batu Feringghi were fully booked. Luckily we managed to get 1 night stay at Parkroyal and the other night at Equatorial.

Here are some photos taken in Penang. This is my darlin' Baby Maira who is 1 yr 4 months now. Ni tengah main at the kiddies room in Parkroyal. The first day we were there it rained cats and dogs so we lepak2 indoor saja.

I'm 34!

It's the time of the year again when I add another number to my age. Yeap, it's my birthday today and I haven't been doing anything special. As usual, woke up in the morning but a lil bit early today due to sms beeps - birthday wishes from my loved ones :) Then, siapkan the girls, dropped them at the nursery and off to the gym I went. FF has a new yoga class today and I am excited to try out. I think it's called Hot Flow where you exercise in a warm room. I like it cos it made me sweat more but I have to remember to bring a bottle of water next time. Felt a lil thirsty half-way thru the class.

The rest of the peeps in the class are usuals I think cos their body are much more flexible than mine. All of them can do splits except me who couldn't even slide half-way down :p But it's ok, I hope with practice, my unflexible body can be more flexi sooooon. After yoga, I had my usual cup of coffee at the lounge and hung around for a few minutes. Then off I went to The Curve for errands.

Oooh something happened at The Curve just now. I went to one of the shops to get some stuff. After deciding what to buy, I went to the cashier to pay. I used my debit card and after the transaction completed ie I signed the bill and received the receipt from the cashier, the cashier forgot to pass back my debit card so I had to ask from him. I may be paranoid or I may be wrong but I felt as if he didn't hand me the card on purpose. I thought his 'surprised look' when I asked for my card back was fake. As mentioned, I may be wrong but I hope all of you will be careful. If anyone were to get hold of our debit card, memang they can use it easily cos the transaction doesn't require us to key in our pin no.

Eh nearly 5pm already. Gotto go out sekejap to ambik my sports shoes yg I hantar at the cobbler this morning. Adik cobbler nak balik at 530! Chao!

Seafood @ Hokkaido

We had seafood dinner at Hokkaido last night and it was superb! We ordered salted eggs crab (their specialty), chili prawns, siput sedut, steamed fish and vege. The portion was just nice for us - 3 adults and 2 kiddos - and **kachinggg** it was RM134!!! I was surprised - pleasantly surprised. I am definitely going back for more seafood there. Banyak lagi yang kalau boleh nak order but there were just 3 of us adults, tak habis pulak nanti. Price was really reasonable but most importantly it was super fresh and super delicious. Even Audrene and Maira enjoyed the food. Sgt2 sedap! Oooops have I mentioned that too many times already? Ya, mmg sedap, go eat there everyone!

Exercising is Tough!

Omigosh! After months of neglecting the gym, I feel soooooo out-of-breath after the body balance class I attended just now. And boy, I sweat a lot and looked like a half dead puppy at the end of the session. This cannot happen again. I promise myself that I'll go to the gym every day while I'm on leave, unless I'm out-of-town of cos. Mengah ok!

I am having a swell time today. I woke up (late) and sent the girls to the nursery. Then I hit the gym. The instructor was 30 minutes late but it was ok cos I got to read my book while waiting. After gym, I picked up Audrene and went for a roti canai session with her. Now I'm at home, checking FB and updating my blog. Once done, I'll be back reading. Weeeee... heaven! And I'm looking forward to the seafood dinner tonight. We plan to go to Hokkaido in KL. I've never been there before so I hope it's good.
