Audrene's 1st Report Card Day

Thursday was Audrene's first ever Report Card Day and just like any other mommies, I was sooooo excited. This will be the first time that I will hear comments on my little girl by non-family members. Wee hee! Excited!!

So... what did her teachers say about her??? Ehem.. ehem...They say that she's polite, well mannered, participative (will volunteer to tulis answer on the blackboard), loving (she gives her BM teacher a hug and tells her she loves her EVERY DAY... woo hoo hoo!), very interested to learn, and banyak lagi positive comments... ermmm... shy pulak I nak tulis... hehehehehe!! She is after all in kindie. I am sure the teachers have many many great things to say about all other kids too but still I am SUPER DUPER proud of my little girl :)

This is Audrene before going off to school... Happy happy because both mummy and daddy ada!

After we were done with the report card, as promised, I took her out for a movie. We went to catch Night At The Museum 2 and Audrene brought her grandparents along! What a treat for her! Seronok sangat, and bising sangat dalam cinema... Marah the couple who sat next to us!

After the movie, we went book shopping. I memang ketinggalan zaman. Only now nak start baca the Twilight series. Only bought the first 2 books, just in case I don't like it. Also bought Trading Up by Candace Bushnell. Haven't started reading any of the books cos work is getting busier and busier each day. My mom and my sis are reading 'em books first!

Ok, everyone, gotta pick Maira. Had to send her to the daycare this morning cos I have sooOOOooo much chores to do (ayo!) and Baby Maira nak dukung all the time. Susah mummy nak sidai baju so terpaksalah hantar nursery :p

Ok, everyone, till later!

Yummy King Crab

On Thursday, my brother treated us for dinner and we went to King Crab at Kelana Jaya for seafood. The food was FANTABULOUS! YUMMY! Even Audrene ate! That shows how yummy the dishes were :)

Some pics....

Thank you Uncle Iiiiijaaaa and Enteee Maiii... Hehehehehe!

And have a great weekend everyone!!

It's only Tuesday and I can't wait for Thursday!!! Why??? Because it's Audrene's FIRST EVER REPORT CARD DAY!!! I tak sabar!!! Hahahaha!

For the historical day (hehe!), I have of course applied for leave. Doesn't matter if the feedback is good or bad, we will still celebrate. I have promised to bring her to the cinema on that day. We plan to watch Night At The Museum 2. I HOPE the movie is showing at Cineleisure!!

Oooh oooh oooh have any of you had Baker's Boy large soft biscuits at KLCC? I am ADDICTED to them!!! I need to have one EVERYDAY!!! I also LOVE their cupcakes but erm.. after having lunch I will usually rasa a bit too gemuk if I also have the cuppies so I will usually go for their biscuit. Go try y'all sbb sgt2 yummy!

Also on yummy food, I am soooo happy that Sari Ratu is now open near my house. Yay!! I just love nasi padang, especially the gulai urat and cili hijau. Baru makan there last night but I feel like going there again tomorrow!!

Helloooo!

Maira loooovveesss my phone. If she's around, I have to sembunyi2 guna phone because she will wrestle the phone off my hand.

As for Audrene, she will conquer my laptop because she can now chat with my sis. Audrene can read and spell 2 suku kata words now. I am indeed impressed with Smart Reader! She will also want to check out her favourite cupcake sites and lately, she is hooked to you tube. I think kids nowadays are advanced... too advanced!

Maira and I are currently waiting for Daddy. Nak pergi lunch and I still want my tosay. Later today I HAVE to finish my storybook because I've been reading it for WEEKS!!!

And I need to call Maybank. I want to redeem my credit card points for MPH vouchers. Yay!!!

Work Work Work!!

It's Saturday and I have to work... sob sob! There goes my usual breakfast with Daddy and Baby, and I sooooo nak makan tosay :(

But it's ok.. It should be done by 12.

Gotta go and get ready!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Sunway Pyramid - Transformed!

We just got back from Sunway Pyramid. Haven't been there for two years (or maybe more!) and boy was I surprised to see the transformation. Before it was a bit jinjang but now.. whoa...everything's there! Best lah, I like!

We were at Sunway for 5 long hours. Had lunch, jalan2, then had tea, then jalan2 some more, and we also tengok ice skaters at the skating rink. It was Audrene's first time tengok orang ice skate and she was really really interested to try. Maybe in another 2, 3 years k. Now cannot sebab too small, ngeri I!

Yesterday was also a full day for me. We went shopping for Baby Maira. She is now 9 months old so time for us to buy clothes for 9 - 12 months. We also bought her a new car seat. Hers dah a bit small so yesterday we bought one that suits babies of age 9 months to 4 years. And guess what, baru beli semalam, tadi Baby Maira vomitted all over it. Ayoyo!!

Here's Audrene at Wendy's... Don't you just LOVE their strawberry shake?!

Here's Maira comot2 makan baked potato

Maira in her brand new car seat :)

I also watched Angels and Demons last night and as expected IT WAS GREAT!!!! Go go go and watch it everyone!! It was full of suspense right from the very beginning. Many times I tutup mata, tutup telinga sebab takut. Memang 2 thumbs up!!

Ooooooh before the movie started I saw the trailer for Harry Potter 6!!!!!!!! OMG!!! It was awesome!! Dang... I sound like a teenager!!! Hahaha!! But I am sooooo excited. I am a huge huge HUGE fan of Harry and I can't wait for the movie!! Another TWO months to go. Haih...Lamanya!!!!!

It's 9pm already and Baby Maira is well tucked in bed (my bed that is!) and Audrene is busy practising her dance steps. She has a mega concert in August (chewah!) and she has started her rehearsal since 2 weekends ago. Bukan senang nak choreograph little kids ni and I am curious to see the end product. I hope it will be grand.

Ok, everyone, you all know how much I hate Sunday evenings but I will enjoy whatever's left of it. Goodnite!

Loooong Awaited Weekend

Yup, my week was THAT long. I had a terrible, horrible week and I am glad it's Saturday. Lepas ni nak ready2 and pegi breakfast. Audrene is at my parents, she has ballet at 10am so it's quality time with Baby Maira today :)

Have lotsa baby stuff to buy so will probably be hanging out at The Curve and later I have a movie to catch. Ok... nak siap2 ni. Have a great weekend everyone. Till later!

Barbies Rock!

Audrene took a picture of her Barbie collection and told me to upload in the computer so here it is :)

I think she has more but these are the ones that she could find in her play room which is a BIG MESS! Okla, the mess is not THAT bad, but the toys are all dumped in a few boxes that make it difficult to find. Nanti lah, one fine day, we'll sort the toys out ye.

This is Audrene and her best friend... Baby Maira of course! Maira is now 9 months old. Time flies kan?? She can now stand and ada try2 to lepaskan tangan but tak berani lagi. She doesn't know how to go back to sitting position while standing so usually she'll stand until she's tired then she'll cry.. ish ish ish!

Ok.. I'm actually waiting for my maggi goreng and teh ais...Dah sampai..Yay!

p/s.. I hate Sunday nights :(

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Hope it's not too late to wish all mommies a very Happy Mother's Day!

Just got back from The Curve. Audrene wanted to buy Alexa of Barbie The Diamond Castle. Too bad they didn't have it but good for me cos she opted for Barbie Princess Annika (I think) which is half the price ;)

Aih, bukan Mummy ke yg patut dapat present masa Mother's Day? :p

Mari Tindik Telinga

After 2 whole days of whining, pestering and constant, continuous persuasion, my mom and I brought Audrene to Poh Kong to get her ears pierced on Monday. As usual, Mummy's very worried and asked Kakak 10,000 times if she was really sure about it. Kakak, of course, was VERY sure. Before pegi, Kakak said that she's a strong girl and will tahan sakit. She told me 'she's all ready for it'. Ok then, jom pegi tindik telinga!

Here's my mom making marks on my little girl's ears. Little dots for the piercing.

One...two...GO!

Done! And no tears! That's my little girl :)

She then said "see.. told you I am ready!!". Yeah yeah.. you were ready indeed :p

So that was how Audrene got her ears pierced. Awwww.. my baby's a little girl now...sob sob!

More On Singapore!

The best meal we had in Singapore was at Arab Street.. Eh no, the restaurant, called Islamic Restaurant, was very near Arab St but actually it was on North Bridge Rd. The beryani was very good. I ofcourse had the lamb beryani - the lamb was so soft and the rice was so tasty.

Check out Audrene's face when she saw the beryani.. Eksyen je tu, dia bukan makan sgt pun :p I also had the masala tea... oooo so strong but sooo sedap! Price was reasonable -S$6 for the beryani. The shop was old, I think it was already 90 years old! Owh! Even our PM ate there. The shopowner had a picture of him and our PM on the wall :)

Also along the block there was a mamak restaurant called Restaurant Zam Zam where they served really great murtabak. We went there for breakfast. Did take pix of the delicious murtabak but I used my phone and of course I tak reti nak download the pix to my laptop. I am so helpless when it comes to gadgets! Daddy!! Help!!.

Ahhhh here's Audrene after her short dip in the pool. She was waving her hands at Daddy while jerit "Cepat! Cepat!". Usually when we go off for a holiday, the first 2 things that Audrene will pack are her swimsuit and goggles. Unfortunately this time mummy overlooked - the hotel had no kiddies' pool! Sorry!!!

After the short dip at the pool, we quickly packed and checked out. On the way back, we made a stop at Suntec Mall. Didn't want to go to Orchard Road because of the large crowd there. Only bought 2 pairs of shoes at Charles & Keith. They were having end of season sale and had really great bargains. I bought 2 pairs for less than S$70. I saw some really nice flats for S$14 - S$19!! Unfortunately the girls were already in a crappy mood so couldn't stay long. But in a way good for me... less damage!

Here's another pix of Audrene. She LOVES rides so here she is on yet another ride!

Alrighty, goodnite, yyyaaaAWWNNnnnnn!

Singapore Trip - Day 2 @ The Zoo!

After a loong and tiring Day 1 spent at Orchard Road and The Night Safari, we woke up not as early as we planned (as usual.. *roll eyes*). Cepat2 siap and walked across the street from our hotel for breakfast at McDonald's. After breakfast, terus off to the Zoo.

Us at the entrance - actually this was at the end of the day - after 5 full hours of walking.

There were LOTS of activities at the zoo. Shows, rides, photo opportunities. Audrene managed to make me ride on the elephant. I am so very very afraid of heights and I tried to wiggle my way out but Audrene is a very persistent girl. So here I am on Dumbo with Audrene :p

Another photo of us.. Me and my USD$10 Esprit shades which I bought at Marshall's.. hehehe!

Here's Audrene on a pony. Once she heard there was a pony ride, we had to find the spot IMMEDIATELY. She cannot wait one, nak naik on the spot! The pony ride was at the Kids' World. There was also a mini water park there but the girls' dr advised us against playing at waterparks now. Their dr, btw, is soooo strict - no waterparks, no ikan bilis, no candies (!). So the girls didn't even get a chance to be 100m close to the water park. Haha, too bad!

Just like the day before, we left the zoo feeling very very happy and impressed. Not only that the animals were beautiful to watch (unlike a certain zoo which we recently visited where the animals looked scrawny, sad and ermm a bit dirty), the Spore zoo was clean, the food was great (try the iced lemon tea - freshly brewed to perfection!), the souvenir store had loads of interesting and fun stuff and the staff were helpful, pleasant and cheerful. My only complain was I couldn't see any special rooms for babies. Maybe ada, tapi tak jumpa.

Heaa here are the girls at the end of the day.... pengsan! Adik is very manja... Will cari Kakak and give kakak a BIG hug while sleeping.

p/s.... At least 1 in 5 women in Spore were spotting a LV handbag. At Orchard Road, they were all happily wearing the luxury bags and boy was I suprised to find lotsa women wearing their expensive bags TO THE ZOO! Now I know the meaning of the word "kiasu"! Hahahahaha!

Singapore Trip - Day 1 (Updated)

I have had such an eventful weekend - full of excitement and of course... sangat2 banyak menggunakan tenaga. Since it was a long weekend, Daddy and I decided to go for a drive down to Singapore. Main programme was to bring the girls to the Night Safari and the Singapore Zoo. The last time I went to Singapore was when I was 12 (imagine that!) so I was soooooo excited myself!

We left on Thursday evening. Plannya nak leave home by 4pm so we can reach JB in time for dinner. I really wanted to have seafood (esp the ikan pari bakar) at a gerai run by an old auntie but somebody procastinated buat income tax so ended up being online for one whole hour to complete the form. I seriously promise myself... NEVER will I procastinate in filing my taxes. Next year I'll do it once I get my EA form! Promise promise PROMISE!

Oooops back to our Spore trip - So we left home at abt 7pm and had dinner at Restoran Jejambat Ayer Keroh. Right after dinner, we continued our drive. We were all so tired, sleepy and couldn't wait to reach JB. Unfortunately, there was a terrible accident at about 10 minutes before the JB exit. Sikit saja lagi nak sampai tapi we were stuck for HOURS! The accident was serious. There were lotsa police cars, fire engine, rescuers, ambulance. Other people who were also stuck started to go out from their cars to check out what was wrong cos we couldn't see from our cars. I think after nearly 2 hours, the police cleared the road and I could see 3 wrecked cars and one of them was already rentung. We ended up reaching JB at 3am! We quickly checked in and forced the girls to sleep (they were wide awake and excited!).

The next day, kita cepat2 bangun, breakfast and terus head to Singapore. The 2nd Link was clear so we reached Singapore in barely 30 minutes. It took us another 30 minutes to look for our hotel and here are the girls at the hotel room (Audrene of course controlled the TV remote!). We stayed at the Grand Park City Hall at North Bridge Road. Great hotel BUT on the last day we found out that it has no children's pool!! Mummy overlooked!! Sowrie Audrene!!!

After resting for a few minutes, we were hungry so we decided to go to Orchard Road for lunch. This is Daddy and Audrene at the MRT station. It was Audrene's first train ride!

Later that night, we went to the Night Safari. It was a fantastic experience! All of us enjoyed it very much. Here's Kakak while waiting for Daddy who was asking for direction. She sang and danced, entertained the hotel staff and guests at the lobby. Hehe! No shy shy one!

We had dinner there and were soooooo happy to find lamb burgers there. It was the first time I had lamb burger and it was yummay!

This is me and the girls while waiting for the Creatures of the Night Show to start. We lined up for ONE WHOLE HOUR but it was worth it!

Oooops... to be continued. Nak ambik Baby Maira and have dinner!

*****

Sambungan.. hehehe! Ingat nak keluar for dinner tapi tak jadi because Kakak is fast asleep.

Could have taken more pix at the Safari but it was all dark and we were not allowed to use our camera flash or spotlight there. It could make the animals go blind or crazy scared. You wouldn't want the lion to attack you during your tram ride!

What we did at the Night Safari were mainly two activities - the 20-minute Show and the tram ride around the safari. You could opt for a walk along the Fishing Cat Trail. It will take about 1.5 hours while the tram ride takes 45 minutes. Since I was with my 2 little princesses, I opted for the tram ride. The ride was led by a hostess who kept us informed about the animals that we saw. Very educational indeed. Now only I know that a lion could eat 40kg worth of meat at one sitting (meaning one whole ME!) and an elephant can poopoo 90kg worth of dunk at one go (I pity the person who'll have to clean up the mess!).

Audrene was so excited because the deers came very near the tram but of course we could not touch them. They were still animals in the wild after all.

If you are planning to go for an adventure at the Safari, check out the time of the show and the tram rides. Put into consideration that you'll have to wait for an hour for the show (no kidding - weekends!). I suggest for you to be there once it is open - at 6.30pm. We were late so we had to catch the last show for the night and then only went on the tram. Tho Audrene had fun, it was too taxing for her.

We left the Safari feeling happy, impressed (they are world class indeed!) and thrilled to start the next day - a day at the Zoo! While Daddy drove back to the hotel, all three ladies in the car slept like babies (sorry Daddy.. too tired!).

p/s... Did I mention they had Ben & Jerry's there?!!! But too bad they didn't have the most delicious Heath Bar Crunch :p
